Partnerships and Family Feedback

The Getaway Foundation (TGAF)  helps families create happy memories through holidays. Our current priority is to support families in Beds (Luton), Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and on the Isle of Wight . See below endorsements and feedback from our partners and families we have supported.

Holiday Benefits - Pre, During and Post Holiday for Families impacted by Poverty

We have now provide over 191 family holidays (end of season 2023) and after 3 years see clear benefits and outcomes for the families we support and the partners we work with.  The infographic next to this text, shows our key benefits and outcomes, based upon direct family surveys we have carried out.
In the words of the families we support:

“Watching the children so full of happiness just filled my heart with so much joy. You really have given us a priceless gift”. 4th June 2023
"Thank you for making this happen for us, it has been a really challenging and traumatic year for us so far and the holiday has given us all something to hold on and look forward to. I can’t put into words how very grateful I am” - Summer 2023

Thank you for the incredible memories, relaxation and the opportunity to re-charge, spend time together and enjoy a family holiday. Your support made having a holiday possible, accessible and took away all the financial pressure, anxiety and logistical challenges that have stopped us being able to go on holiday as a family of 3” Summer 2022

Our Holidays and Family Feedback

In 2021 we provide 52 family holidays and 67 in 2022. Our goal is to provide 65+ in 2023. Example family feedback:.
  • We had so much fun. My best memory was building a moat in the sand with my son to stop the water escaping, finding fish with both the children and just having fun on the beach.
  • We made such special memories at the holiday park Alfie swam with a float two paddles it was amazing and such a lovely memory.
  • Lucas loved the sun we got to go on a walk and see sights
  • It was great experience and opportunity for my family and really grateful for this to you.
  • Spending time together and the added benefit of being able to let the girls do activities on site that otherwise might not have been financially possible
  • Kids having an amazing time and making memories

9 out out of 10 families felt a long-term benefit from their family holiday 12 months after their family holiday - helping them through challenging times. 2022 TGAF Survey Result.
